Thank you for your interest in participating in the 6th edition of the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Snow Run, know in Quebec as the « Randonnée des Neiges de Kelly Shires contre le Cancer du Sein ». This year, the event will take place in the city of Quebec, at the Four Points by Sheraton, on Saturday February 26, 2011.
Before registering, we ask that you read carefully the following information. Only a participant should register to the ride, however, we ask that you supply us with the name of the non rider in your company staying at the hotel (if applicable). The prices listed below do not include a snowmobile for the ride. You need to supply your own sled. If needed, a snowmobile can be rented at the hotel; Adrenaline Sports has many sleds to offer for rent.
Participants MUST BE 16 years of age and hold a valid driver’s license and/or snowmobile permit, insurance and a trail permit. You will be able to purchase a trail permit at the hotel, if needed. NO ONE under the age of 16 will be allowed on the ride including passengers. This ride was initially solely for women, however, at the request of many ladies in Quebec, this year, we are opening a new co-ed team. To register in this team, the sled must have a woman and man. Single men, or two-up gentlemen are not allowed to participate in the ride. The number of riders is limited, so if you are interested, register soon!
FEES FOR PARTICIPANTS NOT RAISING PLEDGES:
- RIDE AND LUNCH: $100.00
- RIDE & LUNCH FOR TWO (exclusively for Ying&Yang) : $150.00
- RIDE, LUNCH AND DINNER: $200.00
- RIDE, LUNCH & DINNER FOR TWO (Ying&Yang team) : $300.00
- MEET & GREED, Friday Evening: $20.00
PLEDGE LEVELS FOR THOSE RAISING FUNDS:
- $300 of pledges – ride and lunch free
- $500 of pledges – ride, lunch and Award dinner free
- $700 of pledges – only for « Team Ying & Yang », ride, lunch and Award dinner for both free OR the ride and lunches free for the "Ying Yang" teams
- $1,000 of pledges – ride, lunch, Award dinner & one night at the hotel free
- $1,500 of pledges – ride, lunch, Award dinner and one hotel night for you AND Award dinner and hotel night for your guest, OR ride, lunch, Award dinner and both nights at the hotel for you free
- $2,000 of pledges – ride, lunch, Award dinner and two nights stay for you PLUS Award dinner and two nights stay for your guest
WE ASK THAT YOU DO NOT COLLECT FUNDS TOGETHER WITH OTHER PARTICIPANTS, AS THE PURPOSE OF THIS BREAST CANCER SNOW RUN IS TO RAISE MONEY SO AS TO HELP THOSE CANCER PATIENTS IN NEED. COMBINING YOUR PLEDGES IS NOT PERMITTED. IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO REACH YOUR PLEDGE GOAL YOU WILL BE ASKED TO SUPPLY THE DIFFERENCE PERSONALLY. Check, credit card or cash. A tax receipt will be issued in your name for that amount.
Once you will have completed your registration, you will receive a confirmation email with your registration number. You must have this number so as to make your hotel reservation at the Four Points by Sheraton. You will be asked to provide a credit card so as to lock in your reservation; no funds will be withdrawn from the card. You must reserve YOURSELF your room for the event at the Delta Hotel in Sherbrooke, call and ask the Reservations service:
When making your hotel reservation, you will specify that you wish a room for participating in the event: Randonnée Kelly Shires .
We will help you unload your sled from it’s trailor, on the Friday from 5PM to 9PM, and Saturday from 6:30AM on. If you can not arrive inside these time frames, please inform us so we may make specific arrangements for you. In case of a problem on the trails, our volunteer guides will take charge so as to fix the problem or return you safely to the hotel, as well as your sled. Participants will need to register at our desk prior to checking in at the hotel – our desk will be open on Friday February 25 from 3pm until 9pm, and Saturday February 26th from 7am until 8 :30am. - The « Randonnée » will begin at 9AM, and participants will be returning to the hotel around 4PM, pending on what team they registered for.
